Stammers, who allows local artisans to offer their wares in her shop, recruited neighborhood children to stuff and sew the pet beds, which they donated to local animal shelters. She and her crew also altered the Abercrombie & Fitch logo on some of the beds, turning Fitch into dog-themed words like fetch and bitch.

Although Stammers says that a number of people have tried to buy the beds, she is refusing to sell them. “People ask me to buy them all the time,” she said. “I just tell them, ‘Whatever you’d pay for them, donate to your local animal shelter.’”
