Cops arrest man in bank theft

Nassau police have arrested a Commack man in connection with the November robbery of a Baldwin bank.

Police said Marcus L. Palmer, 29, of 450 Moreland Rd., was arrested Feb. 16 at his home and charged with third-degree robbery.

According to police, on Nov. 17 at 5:43 p.m., a man handed a note to a teller at the Capital One bank at 2303 Grand Ave. The note was a demand for money.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man left the bank through the rear door. It was not known which way he went. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

At the time, the thief was described as being about being 6 feet, with a thin build, wearing a blue hoodie and a fake beard.

Bond was set at $5,000 at arraignment in 1st District Court in Hempstead.
