Eliminate the pests in your life . . . safely

Bait for carpenter ants is now available, proving to be effective and efficient. Carpenter ants dig tunnels and form nests in wood, and each one can contain as many at 4,000 insects. In the summer they produce a winged species that looks like a wasp. The purpose is to mate and produce new colonies. Carpenter ants are attracted to wood that’s been wet in the past, and is soft and easy to chew. An area with a past leak would be a good place to nest. It can be very difficult to locate the nest, which can be anywhere in a house, but the nest absolutely must be destroyed to control the ants.

“Arrow’s recommendations for the timely mosquito dilemma reiterate what the news has been saying,” says Jackie Grabin. “Eliminate standing water in places like tires, toys, flower pots, bird baths, and make sure to keep your gutters are clean. Even a bottle cap can provide a place for hundreds of mosquitoes to breed. We can expect mosquitoes to be around until there’s a frost. This year, we started a new Green Mosquito Control Program. We’re using products that are essential oils, not harmful to the environment or people. We do ‘party sprays’ and scheduled control, which are every effective.”

Owners of Arrow value their employees highly, and believe in keeping them happy and healthy. They recently hired EAP, a company that incorporates an employee assistance program. If any issue comes up – such as medical, legal or emotional – for an employee or a member of their family, their services are free to them.

Arrow Exterminating offers a variety of service contracts. Commercial buildings often opt for monthly maintenance.
