Police arrested a Glen Oaks man outside his residence at 255th Street on Feb. 27 for an alleged robbery of a woman and a forced sex act in Inwood seven days earlier.

Alok Parekh, 33, and a 30-year-old woman met at prearranged location in Inwood on Feb. 20, police said. The pair drove around in Parekh’s 2014 Smart Car, when the woman wanted to get out of the vehicle. Parekh allegedly grabbed her cell phone and demanded that she withdraw money from an ATM.

The woman complied, and then Parekh forced her to engage in a sex act, police said, then demanded her to get more money from the ATM. After she did that, she was released and he told her that her phone and driver’s license were in a bag on the ground, the items were not, police said.

When police went to arrest Parekh on Monday, he ran to his house and slammed a door into an officer and violently swung his arms, twisted his body and refused all verbal commands from the police.

He is charged with criminal sexual act first-degree, robbery third-degree, grand larceny fourth-degree and resisting arrest. Parekh was arraigned on Feb. 28 at First District Court in Hempstead.
