Mostly Cloudy Oneonta soccer honor for Baldwin man

State University of New York Athletic Conference Commissioner Tom DiCamillo announced that SUNY Oneonta senior Vincent Pellegrino of Baldwin was selected as the SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Week in men’s soccer last month.
Goalkeeper Pellegrino posted back-to-back shutouts that weekend in conference wins against Fredonia and Buffalo State. Pellegrino recorded seven saves in the two games.
Pellegrino, who was coached at Baldwin High School by Mike Palumbo, is the son of Keith & Marianne Pellegrino. He said his career ambition is to play soccer overseas, according to the SUNY Oneonta Athletics website.
