Joseph Orselli
Joseph is a national merit commended student, an AP scholar with distinction, and the recipient of the Brown University Book Award. He was inducted into the National Honor Society and the English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Tri-M Music Honor Societies. He is captain of varsity winter and spring track and received the Most Valuable Player award for cross-country. He is also section leader of the wind symphony and a member of the pep band. He volunteers for SPLASH, Relay for Life, the Baldwin Public Library and rotary track. Joseph will attend Cornell University.

Jacob Hamer
Jacob is a national merit commended student and an AP scholar with distinction. He was inducted into the National Honor Society and the English, French, Math, Science and Social Studies Honor Societies. Jacob is president of Youth for Political Awareness and a member of Academons and Key Club. He volunteers for Teen-to-Teen, Relay for Life, Know Your School Night and tutors other students. Jacob will attend the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter.

Nancy Conforti
Nancy is an AP scholar with distinction and was inducted into the National Honor Society and English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. She is president and section leader of the wind symphony and section leader for concert choir, vocal jazz ensemble and Sweet Adelaides. Nancy is a member of Octapella, Jazz Band and the Long Island Youth Orchestra. She also performed in the high school musical “Once Upon a Mattress.” Nancy is fundraising chair for the class of 2013, president of AIDS Peer Educators, Song and Cheer Leader for Sportsnite, and a member of Intramural Night and Youth for Political Awareness. She volunteers for SPLASH, Rock and Wrap It Up, and Relay for Life. Nancy will attend the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford.

Nicholas Kelliher
Nicholas was selected for the Long Island Arts Alliance Award of Merit, the NYSSMA all-state and all-county mixed chorus and all-eastern mixed choir and received the NYSSMA Harrington Scholarship. He is an AP scholar with honor and was inducted into the National Honor Society and the English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish and Tri-M Music Honor Societies. Nicholas is president of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and concert choir, member of the small vocal ensembles and performed in the high school musical “Once Upon a Mattress.” He volunteers with Relay for Life and the Polar Bear Splash and is a trained AIDS peer educator. Nicholas will attend the New England Conservatory of Music.

Kajal Malik
Kajal is an AP scholar with distinction and was inducted into the National Honor Society and the English, Math, Science, and Social Studies Honor Societies, as well as the Thespian Society. She is co-president of Blue Marble, vice president of Academons, junior varsity team captain of the Quiz Bowl, secretary of the science olympiad and drama club and member of the Class of 2013 Club and Fashion Club. She volunteers for Teen-to-Teen and Relay for Life and interned at Mercy Medical Center. Kajal will attend New York University.

Michael Butler Jr.
Michael is a national achievement finalist and scholarship recipient, an AP scholar with distinction and an All-American scholar nominee. He was inducted into the National Honor Society and the English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Spanish Honor Societies. He is vice president of the chamber orchestra and a member of Youth for Political Awareness, Key Club, Blue Marble, Class of 2013 Club and varsity basketball. He volunteers with Teen-to-Teen, the Bruins Basketball Camp and UNICEF. Michael will attend Harvard University.

Jamell Dozier
Jamell is a national merit commended student, National Achievement finalist and scholarship winner, an AP scholar with honor and the winner of a Central Nassau Club scholarship. He was inducted into the National Honor Society and the English, Math, Science and Social Studies Honor Societies. Jamell is on the varsity spring track team and peer tutoring. He participated in the MIT weekend immersion in science and engineering program and the Brown University pre-college summer program. He volunteers for Camp Anchor. Jamell will attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Alexis Corrado
Alexis is an AP scholar and was inducted into the National Honor Society and the Art, English, Math, Science and Social Studies Honor Societies. She performed in the high school musical “Once Upon a Mattress” and is a member of Blue Marble, Sweet Adelaides and concert and show choirs. She volunteers for the Bay Improvement Group, Teen-to-Teen, Relay for Life and Petco. Alexis will attend Brandeis University.
