Police Search for man who robbed Baldwin bank

Police are searching for the man responsible for robbing the Bethpage Federal Credit Union in Baldwin. The robbery occurred on Friday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. at 1800 Grand Avenue.

The suspect entered the credit union and gave the teller a note demanding money. The teller complied, giving the suspect and undisclosed amount of cash, and suspect fled on foot westbound through the rear parking lot.

There were five employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

According to police, the suspect is a black male, between 6’ to 6’ 2” tall with an average build, wearing dark clothes and a black mask and gloves
