South Shore Symphony
The South Shore Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Scott Jackson Wiley, celebrates spring with an uplifting performance at St. Agnes Cathedral. This popular concert continues a tradition of more than a decade of musical collaboration with St. Agnes’ music department. The 80-member orchestra shares the stage with the 100 voices of the Diocesan Choir of Rockville Centre and the 50-member South Side High School Chamber Singers, under the direction of Michael Wustrow. Soprano Lucinda Atkins and alto Holliday Haynes are the featured soloists. The program includes a reprise of the rarely performed masterpiece, Mahler Symphony No. 2.

Nature Walk
“Smell the Wild Roses” on an exploration of Muttontown Preserve’s fields and trails during a two hour guided tour with a naturalist. Savor the sweetness of spring on this three mile hike over mostly flat terrain. More than 50 species of roses can be seen along the trails. View the Multiflora Rose and other varieties in full bloom. Also, examine the many aromatic varieties of wildflowers, including Autumn Olive, Honeysuckle and Buttercups, which line the wooded trails and surround the senses with their fragrance.
