What does peace look like to you?

The Lions Club of Baldwin is sponsoring the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in Baldwin Middle School this year. The contest is open to all students ages 11-13 and encourages students to artistically express their visions of peace. The winning entry from Baldwin will compete with entries from other Lions Clubs in the area in a district-wide competition (all of Nassau County entries).

Each year’s contest consists of an original theme incorporating peace. The 2014-15 theme is “Peace, Love and Understanding.” Baldwin’s young artists are asked to share their unique image of peace with others; so that we may all have greater tolerance and international understanding. The contest has been enthusiastically embraced by the Fine Arts Department of the Baldwin Schools under the supervision of Deepak Marwah.

All entries are due Oct. 15. Students interested in competing can contact their art teacher, or the Baldwin Lions Club at (516) 546-4781.
