Winter farmers market coming to Baldwin

Posted

The Baldwin Civic Association’s Potential New Businesses Committee announced the grand opening of the Baldwin winter farmers market last week — the only such concern now operating in Nassau County.

To be run by G&G Long Island Farmer’s Market, a traveling farmers market that rotates among locations such as Huntington and Northport, the first Baldwin event will be held in the American Legion Hall, at 2754 Grand Ave., on Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The rain-or-shine event will offer fresh local produce, eggs, cheeses, pastas, breads, coffee, dog treats, soaps and much more.

According to the BCA, the purpose of the

market is to give “Baldwin residents a place to shop for healthy fresh foods, while helping the local economy.” More information can be found at winterfarmersmarketlongisland.com.
