Woman jumps on robbers’ fleeing car

A woman jumped on the hood of car as it drove away with three male subjects inside after her car was robbed in the parking lot of Pathmark on Grand Avenue in Baldwin last week, Nassau County police said. The woman suffered minor injuries but refused medical assistance at the scene.

According to detectives, on Nov. 26 at 3:10 p.m., a 45 year-old woman exited Pathmark and saw two unknown subjects leaning on her vehicle. The victim asked what they were doing by her vehicle as the subjects started to walk away. The victim then noticed that her passenger side window was broken and her pocketbook that was on the seat missing. The two subjects then got into a four-door black unknown vehicle with tinted windows that was being operated by a third male. The victim then jumped on the hood of the car as the subjects continued to drive away. The woman fell off the hood and was hit by the front bumper.

The subjects made off with credit cards and personal papers, police said. Subject no. 1 is described as a black male, 18, five-foot-six-inches tall, thin build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Subject no. 2 is described as a black male, 18, six-foot tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded zippered sweat jacket. Subject no. 3 (the driver) is only described as a black male.
