Loaded handgun found in elementary school parking lot

A loaded handgun was discovered in the parking lot of Brookside Elementary School in Baldwin on Monday morning. The gun was found by a security guard, who reported the weapon to police from the 1st precinct.

Police are currently investigating the situation, but there have been no further details released.
