--6th Annual Empty Bowls Pasta Dinner

On Sunday, March 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. stop by St. Mary of the Isle, located at 315 E. Walnut Street, for the 6th annual Empty Bowls Pasta Dinner. The Empty Bowl Project is a community collaboration project that creates awareness of hunger, homelessness and a community that cares for its underserved population. There will be plenty of pasta, facepainting, crafts, a DJ, a ukelele band, raffles and a limited supply of hand-painted bowls. --Painting Day for Seniors

On Thursday, March 15 from 1 to 4 p.m., seniors can experience painting with Joan Lazarus, a professional painter, at the Housing Authority’s Community Room at 225 W. --Seals by the shoreline

Check out some the fascinating winter harbor seals that inhabit our waters during the final guided walk of the season along the Jones Beach shoreline, Sunday, March 18 1:30 p.m. Join a park naturalist on an hour and a half leisurely beach walk to an area where up to four species of seals can be observed.
