Eric Fegan is an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction and a member of five honor societies, as well as a National Merit finalist. He was also the president and a four-year member of the math team. As a 10th-grader, he ranked fifth in Nassau County for mathematics achievement and placed first in the Nassau Math Tournament. Most recently, he finished third in the Nassau County Interscholastic Math League and was chosen as a candidate for the 2013 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, which is by invitation only.
Fegan was also a member Kennedy’s pit band, jazz ensemble and choir. He has been the piano accompanist for nearly every Kennedy musical, choir concert and variety show in recent years. And he recently performed his own rendition of “New York State of Mind” at the 34th annual Cultural Arts Foundation luncheon after he was chosen as a Cultural Arts Award Recipient.
Fegan will attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall.
Jordan Liebman is a member of four honor societies, a National Merit finalist, the recipient of the National Council of Teachers of English Achievement in Writing Award and a member of Kennedy’s Virtual Enterprise team, “Cupcake Break,” which placed first in the Long Island Business Plan Competition.
Liebman was one of the top baseball players in his class, displayed a passion for environmentalism as an officer of Helping Our Planet Earth Club and showed his leadership skills as a member of the class government.
Liebman also devoted a great deal of time to his religious studies and helping the people of Israel. As a member of Write on for Israel, a public advocacy group, Liebman advocated for Israel. He was also a member of United Synagogue Youth, a movement that brings Jewish teenagers closer to Judaism and Israel through learning and social interaction.
Liebman will attend Yale University in the fall.
