Bellmore lawyer joins one of L.I.’s largest firms

Paul Pagano of Bellmore recently joined the litigation practice group at East Meadow-based Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, Long Island’s second-largest full-service law firm.

Before joining the firm, Pagano was a litigation associate for three years at Kagan, Lubic, Lepper, Finkelstein & Gold, LLP in Manhattan, where he was responsible for a diverse case load, representing clients in litigation matters and appearing before the Appellate, Supreme and Civil courts.

While in law school, Pagano served as an alternate dispute resolution intern at U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He also worked as a compensation coordinator at Lehman Brothers in New York before he attended St. John’s University School of Law.

Pagano earned his law degree in 2009 from St. John’s. He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in 2004, where he studied at the School of Industrial and Labor Relations and made the Dean’s List.

While in law school, Pagano was named the Best Overall Advocate in the 2008 National Civil Rights Trial Competition, and he was a regional quarterfinalist of the 2007 Texas Young Lawyers Association Competition. He served as a board member and external advocate for the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute Mock Trial Program.

Pagano is admitted to practice law in New York He has also coached the Cardozo High School mock trial team.
