Posted

Three Calhoun High School seniors have advanced to the second round of the highly competitive Long Island Science and Engineering Fair, which will take place on March 12 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

David Braunstein, Christine Collins and Sarah Sandler, all 17, survived the first round of this grueling contest, for which they must present their senior research theses in posters and answer tough questions about them before panels of judges, all leading scientists. Round one took place at Crest Hollow on Feb. 23.

At press time, the Herald Life was awaiting word of round two results.
