Disney comes to the Showplace

Plaza Theatrical Productions in Bellmore staged Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.” on Feb. 6. The genie was played by T.C. Weiss, Jasmine by Rachael Connolly and Aladdin played by Niko Touros. The Finale featured a happy, upbeat sing-along.

Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.” premiered at the Showplace at Bellmore Movies on Saturday, Feb. 6. About 175 people attended the show, which featured a host of familiar and memorable characters from the iconic story, including the genie, played by T.C. Weiss; Jasmine, Rachael Connolly, the sultan, John Waryas; and Aladdin, Niko Touros.

The Bellmore Showplace is at 222 Pettit Ave. in Bellmore. Tickets for Aladdin are $10, and the show is scheduled to play on the following dates throughout February:

- Saturday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m.

- Monday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m.

- Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m.

- Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.

- Thursday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m.

- Friday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m.

- Saturday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m.

- Sunday, Feb. 21 at noon.

- Saturday, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m.
