Merrick-Bellmore Cub Scouts go on a newspaper adventure

Members of Cub Scout Pack 123 in Merrick recently visited Herald Community Newspapers’ 80,000-square-foot office in Garden City. Merrick Herald Senior Editor Scott Brinton and reporter Brian Racow conducted a tour for the scouts, teaching them about newspapers and how they are produced. In addition to Merrick, the scouts are from Bellmore, Freeport and Baldwin. Above, the scouts in the Heralds’ newsroom.
