Police: Suffolk woman killed in crash near Newbridge Road

A 28-year-old Suffolk County woman was killed when she apparently lost control of her car on the Southern State Parkway as she approached the Newbridge Road exit in North Bellmore and crashed. According to a witness, the driver was ejected from the westbound vehicle.

Stephanie Francois, of Central Islip, was alone, traveling at a high rate of speed, when her 2010 Chevrolet overturned, causing severe damage to it, according to the New York state troopers. She was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was reported injured. The accident occurred to 12:35 a.m. on March 27 –– Easter morning

Police are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
