The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District Board of Education kicked off the 2015-16 school year on July 14 by electing Skip Haile as president and Janet Goller as vice president. Haile and Goller took the oath of office and were sworn in by District Clerk Claire Neufeld.

Gina Piskin, who has spent eight years on the Merrick School Board, began her new three-year team as a Central District board trustee. “I welcome Gina Piskin to the board,” said Superintendent John DeTommaso, “and look forward to working with her in the coming months as we continue to make decisions that positively impact students’ education.”
