Town offers permit parking in Bellmore
Donovan Berthoud/Herald
Town of Hempstead Councilman Gary Hudes, Supervisor Kate Murray and Councilwoman Angie Cullin appeared at the Bellmore train station on Sept. 28 to provide information about a new permit parking program.

Residents must bring proof of residency when purchasing permits. Town officials said that permits for restricted commuter lots will cost $3 per year, with the current permit period set to expire next March 31.

The new permit parking spot requirements will go into effect on Monday, Oct. 22. The fine for parking in a designated space without a permit, Trenkle-Pokalsky said, will be $120.
