Two children hurt in N. Bellmore bus accident

Two children aboard a school bus were injured in an accident in North Bellmore on Monday morning, authorities said.

Nassau County Police Department officials said that two of the four children “complained of pain” after their bus was involved in an accident near Jerusalem Avenue and Bellmore Road at 11:22 a.m. on April 29.

Spokesmen could not confirm whether any children were transported to a local hospital for treatment and did not have information about the extent of their injuries. Officials also could not provide any details about the cause of the accident, or what school the bus was traveling to or from.
