New Wave Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

At New Wave Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, the child’s smile and comfort is top priority. Founded by a husband and wife team who have specialties that work well together, this is a dental practice that makes total sense.
Dr. Laura Randazzo Sabnani, who grew up in Valley Stream, NY, is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She loves working with children, particularly those with special needs. Dr. Romey Sabnani is a highly accomplished Orthodontist who treats both children and adults. He was raised in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, which is the inspiration for the design of the office. Both attended Tufts University Dental School in Boston, MA, where they met. After graduating in 2004, they worked in their respective fields in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and over the past few years, on Long Island. Sharing a practice while raising their two young sons on Long Island was a dream fulfilled.
The beauty of New Wave is the continuity and comfort available to children and their parents. Both become accustomed to the environment and build rapport with the staff. Should the child require braces, it’s an easy transition. The process takes place in the same place with the same people. Relationships have already been built, and no adjustment is needed. This is especially valuable to children with special needs (such as autism), who are often uncomfortable, if not adverse, to change. Compassion and patience runs deep among the Sabnani team.
New Wave’s state-of-the-art, Caribbean inspired dental office is relaxing and fun. Atmosphere is whimsical and friendly. Everyone is treated as family. The Sabnani’s and their nurturing staff strive to make every visit a positive experience, treating each child as they would their own. Everyone loves the TV screens on the ceiling and the Ipads in the waiting room.
Among the latest technologies at New Wave office are digital x-rays, Invisalign clear alternative to braces, and a paperless office. Patient forms can be found on www.newwavepedoortho.com - where even appointments can be made. Not only does their web site cover every aspect of New Wave Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, but it also provides invaluable tips for parents on home care and prevention.
Appointment times are convenient and flexible. New Wave strives to make the office affordable and the doctors are participating providers with most insurance plans. Creative payment plans are available too.
