Youssef Ibrahim, a freshman at Wellington C. Mepham High School, followed up an undefeated diving season with the Bellmore-Merrick Sharks by taking first place in both the Division B and Nassau County Championships.

“Youssef is one of the best divers I have seen compete in Section VIII in my 20 years of coaching,” said coach Rob Kaefer. “I expect that if he continues to push himself he will break the county record, currently held by his brother, Moustafa.”

Last season, Ibrahim scored a personal best 491.05 points at the 2016 county championships.
