Ariel and friends swim to West Hempstead
Students hit the stage to present 'The Little Mermaid'

West Hempstead Middle School students Camille, left, and Cristen Phillips, right, a.k.a. moray eels Flotsam and Jetsam, gave the audience back-to-back laughs while they tried to convince Ariel, played by Rebecca Dunne, to visit Ursula the sea witch during the school’s production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” on Nov. 19.

West Hempstead Middle School brought the excitement of life above and under sea to the stage on Nov. 19 during its production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.”

The play, which was held at West Hempstead High School, included a performance of the timeless song “Part of Your World.”
