The newly-formed St. Agnes Cathedral School Alumni Association held its first ever All Class Reunion Celebration and All-Star basketball game in May at the St. Agnes Parish Center and gym. This event, which was also a school fundraiser, netted a total of $34,117. All proceeds will go toward the renovation and modernization of the school science lab.

The evening started with a highly competitive Alumni All-Star basketball game in the school gym. Celebrity alumni coaches Bill Donovan Sr. and Brian Mahoney led their teams in a hard fought match-up of alumni between the school colors of green and gold. St. Agnes has a rich athletic tradition and this game highlighted the basketball talent that has played at the school throughout its history. In the end, Brian Mahoney's Green team came away with the victory.

After the game, the celebration continued at the alumni party in the Parish Center. Over 425 alumni and friends came to reunite with former classmates and celebrate their years at St. Agnes. Memories were shared and new ones were made as alumni and friends enjoyed the music of fellow graduates Phil Ferguson, Jane Burke and Rockville Centre's own Matt Barthel. The guests also enjoyed the food and service of Kasey's Kitchen and Cocktails. Organizers said the event was a tremendous success as guests asked when there will be another reunion as they left.

The St. Agnes Alumni Association is committed to supporting the cathedral school in its mission of Catholic education and service. For more information, visit its website at www.stagnes-school.org or e-mail at alumni@stagnes-school.org.
