Meet the candidates

The public is invited to the League of Women Voters' candidates forum on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library, 1125 Broadway, Hewlett.

The League reports that they have extended invitations to all candidates for the following positions (incumbents listed first).

Nassau County district attorney: Kathleen Rice and Joy Watson.

County comptroller: Howard Weitzman and George Maragos.

County legislators: 3rd L.D., John Ciotti and Nina P. Bastardi; 6th L.D., Francis Becker and Vincent M. Grasso; and 7th L.D., Jeffrey Toback and Howard Kopel.
