It’s a small patch of greenery under her office window, with a handful of bushy tomato plants and soaring sunflowers. There’s also a bird feeder and a clear-plastic cross. She calls it her little “corner of heaven.” more

The Sacred Heart seventh- and eighth-grade girls' soccer team was the runner-up for the 2013 Nassau County Championship title. The squad ended the regular season undefeated and in first place before falling to St. Dominic's of Oyster Bay in the championship game 2-1 on Sunday.
