Montesano: I’m running for office in order to continue serving the community, a passion of mine since I was an EMT for the New York City Emergency Medical Service and an officer in the New York City Police Department. As a longtime Glen Head resident who has been fortunate enough to maintain a successful law practice in the community, I have firsthand experience with the issues that affect our families on a daily basis. This experience and commitment to our residents is what inspired me to run for the Assembly in 2010. I wanted to be a voice for our families and work to provide the tax relief, jobs and fair share of school aid our communities deserve. In just over two years, I’ve been able to help pass vital pieces of legislation to cut our deficit, provide economic incentives and lower taxes. If re-elected, I promise to continue the positive strides we’ve made over the past few years and make Nassau County an even better place to work, live and raise a family.

Ferone: I am running for State Assembly because I want to help our community. I want to ensure that families can continue to call Long Island their home, which is becoming increasingly difficult. I also want to inspire the younger generation, many who feel disconnected with the political process. They feel there concerns and thoughts aren’t being properly addressed and I would like to represent them. As a student, I can bring a unique perspective up to Albany; I want to ask question, I want to figure out if we’re doing everything as productively and efficiently as possible.
