A Lindenhurst man was arrested after police say he intentionally drove his car into three people in the parking lot of the Aura Night Club on Hempstead Turnpike at 2:45 a.m. early Sunday morning.

Nassau County police report that “several witnesses” said Patrick Celifie, 27, drove his 2003 Honda into three 27-year-old men, causing injuries. Police say they were able to stop Celifie before he exited the parking lot, and an investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol and possibly marijuana. He was arrested and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment for an ankle injury he allegedly sustained prior to the police’s arrival.

The three men, police say, were also transported to a local hospital and treated for various injuries. Police did not identified their names or the severity of their injuries.

Celifie is charged with three counts of second-degree assault, unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and driving while intoxicated.
