Police: 3-year-old injured in Newbridge Road crash

A 3-year-old boy was hospitalized following a two-car collision on Newbridge Road in East Meadow on Sunday evening.

According to police, the accident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Salisbury Park Drive. At least four people were involved in the accident.

The extent of the boy’s injuries are unknown, police said.

Newbridge Road was closed for several hours following the accident. No criminality is suspected, but police said a summons for a seat belt violation was issued to the driver of the vehicle carrying the boy.
