Protecting against termites

I once told a carpenter he had installed the system incorrectly, and got an earful of nonsense that termites eat the foam. After locating the manufacturer’s information, he still couldn’t accept that he had done it wrong. The owner went back and put up the next, better, barrier solution before the siding went on. I had him install adhesive rubber sheeting (ice and water shield) across the concrete and plywood walls, which, as it turned out, saved his crawl space from more severe flood damage in that area of the house.
