St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Bellmore is celebrating its 20th year anniversary, and to commemorate the milestone, alumni and faculty members recently gathered for a gala at the Coral House in Baldwin. As a regional school, St. Elizabeth takes in students from Bellmore, Merrick, East Meadow and Wantagh, and serves parishioners of four parishes — St. Raphael’s in East Meadow, St. Barnabas in Bellmore, Cure of Ars in Merrick and St. Frances de Chantal in Wantagh.

The school’s development committee organizes the “SEASon to Believe Gala” every other year, and each year they award honorees from each parish. This year, the committee honored Patty and Gary Smith of East Meadow, Joe and Michele Cain of Bellmore, Glenn and Linda Gering of Wantagh, and Richard and Jean Carlson of Merrick. Kerry Kahn, the former principal of Sacred Heart Elementary School in Merrick, was also honored.

The reunion gala was attended by about 200 alumni and faculty members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. The development committee raised more than $1,000 in donations on behalf of the honorees and the school. The money was given directly to the school.
