Students return to school

While it may have felt to many like the summer flew past in the blink of an eye, it was time again for East Meadow students to return to school last Wednesday for the first day of classes.
Each year, the Herald visits a school to capture the excitement of young students and parents on their first day back. Last year, we stopped by Bowling Green Elementary School.
This year, we paid a visit to Barnum Woods Elementary School. Here is a photo essay of last Wednesday morning.
