For the 14th consecutive year, the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce and the Council of East Meadow Community Organizations hosted a holiday lighting ceremony to welcome in the holiday season.
Representatives from both organizations, joined by local elected officials and members of the East Meadow Fire Department, gathered with local families to light the giant Christmas tree and menorah at Veterans Memorial Park, on the corner of East Meadow Avenue and Prospect Avenue.
The evening, full of community and holiday spirit, was capped by Santa Claus and his elves making a special appearance to greet children.
