An evening of theater for senior citizens

Posted

East Meadow residents gathered for a night of dining, entertainment and socializing at the Senior Citizens’ Dinner Theater held at W.T. Clarke High School in Salisbury.

The school’s acting troupe, Lights Up Productions, performed “Chicago” at the Feb. 28 event, where guests were the first viewers of the show, which was presented to the public on March 1 and 2.

Senior Citizen’s Dinner Theater is sponsored by the W.T. Clarke Parent Teacher’s Association in collaboration with the East Meadow Kiwanis and Clarke Theater Arts Parents Association. The social program invites community residents to an Italian dinner outside of the school’s theater, followed by a special presentation of the spring musical. The W.T. Clarke Middle School Builder’s Club and W.T. Clarke High School Key Club provide usher and dinning services.

Those in attendance had the opportunity to take part in a photo booth with props in addition to a game of bingo nicknamed “Tony,” to honor the Tony Awards.
