Brooklyn man fled DWI car collision in East Meadow

New York State police arrested a 30-year old Brooklyn man on April 10 after responding to a hit-and-run and finding him intoxicated and parked on an East Meadow street, officials said.

The driver, Jorge Quiridumbay, was parked on Amherst Street and found in possession of marijuana, liquid THC and an open alcoholic beverage. He faces charges of criminal possession, misdemeanor charges for driving while intoxicated and a traffic violation for leaving the scene of a car collision.

Quiridumbay was be arraigned in the Nassau County First District Court on April 11. His next appearance is April 13.
