Police arrested a man on June 3 in East Meadow for driving while intoxicated with two children in his car.
William McRae, 35, of Roosevelt, caught the attention of New York State Troopers for merging without a signal, then standing at a green light for ten seconds. Police stopped his vehicle to find that he his blood-alcohol content was .14 percent and he had two children in the car, one 8 and then other 10.
McRae is facing aggravated DWI charges among charges of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned on June 4 and his children were turned over to a family member.
