Nassau County police arrested a Queens woman on Sunday after she recklessly drove into a police cruiser and injured two officers in Lido Beach, police said.

Keitora Smith, 23, of Jamaica, was charged with assault, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated and multiple traffic violations. She was expected to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Monday.

According to police, Smith began arguing with a group of friends in the parking lot of 620 Lido Blvd. She then entered her car and drove around recklessly. Police said she ultimately hit and mounted a nearby curb, flattening one of her tires.

Smith then drove toward her friends and intentionally ran over the foot a 24-year-old woman, causing minor bleeding, police said. Smith left the parking lot and officers observed her on Lido Boulevard outside her car, police said.

When officers approached Smith, she returned to her car, drove away “recklessly” and fled to the parking lot of nearby Nickerson Beach, according to police.

Officers again confronted Smith when she “intentionally” drove into one of the police patrol cars and injured two officers who were inside, causing knee, ankle and neck pain, police said. They were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officers removed Smith from her car after she resisted arrest, placed her into custody and determined that she was intoxicated, according to police. She was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
