Overcast One dead, five injured after van flipped on Wantagh State Parkway

One woman died and five people were injured when their van overturned off the Wantagh State Parkway, near East Meadow, on Wednesday morning.
The vehicle lost control around 10 a.m. after hitting a curve between the Southern State Parkway and Hempstead Turnpike, as reported by Newsday. The snow and slippery road conditions were deemed a main cause of the crash, police said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Newsday reported, and the other five are being treated at a hospital.
