Skinner’s financial aptitude has helped grow A&C Pest Management into one of the top 10 pest management companies in Nassau County. The company is also celebrating its 50th anniversary.

In 1996, A&C Pest Management became one of eight pest management companies in the metro area to be an authorized operator of the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System, a revolutionary system that is a four-time winner of the Presidential Green Chemistry Award. Skinner’s company also pioneered the use of NESDCA K-9 teams seeks out bed bugs and rodents, along with the use of Thermal Remediation to kill bed bugs without using chemicals.

Skinner’s company may be pioneers in the industry, but her family and employees have never forgotten to give back their time and talents to countless community charities. With Mary Anne’s support, her family serves on the board of Island Harvest, Nassau County Boy Scouts, Nassau County Fire Department Museum.

James Skinner has been a past president of NY Pest Management Association, past president of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce, and past president of the National Entomology Scent Detection Canine Association, along with serving on several National Pest Management Association boards.

Noreen Diaz has built a business on providing a service in the healthcare industry for the surrounding community.

Diaz was faced with a decision in 1999: remodel her kitchen or start a new business in the healthcare industry with her husband Martin. She decided on starting up a new business and that's how Complete Orthopedic Services, Inc. was born.

For 20 years, COSI is fueled by Diaz’s core principle of putting patients first. This has grown from her home to a company with six offices serving all the boroughs, including a brand-new medical center in East Meadow.

Diaz has four children, three of whom are in the business, and two grandchildren.
