Residents finally got to enjoy their annual craft fair on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook, happy that the rain date was a sunny day. Hosted by the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce, the fair featured jewelry, trinkets, clothing, antiques, toys and booths offering great items at great prices. more

Not even a little rain could stop the people of East Rockaway and its surrounging towns from enjoying their annual Ocktoberfest on October 23, 24 and 25, thanks to the Village and its Recreation Department. Residents had fun on the rides and playing games of chance, all provided by Newton Shows. The Switch and Big Shot entertained, and Kenny Vance and the Planotones performed on Sunday. Vendors displayed their wares, including crafts, activities and great food. Rain or shine — it was a fun, fall weekend. more
