Although the one-hour show is free, in the spirit of “A Christmas Carol,“ audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food products. Alpha Psi Omega, the Theatre Honor Society, will collect the donations and deliver them to the Mary Brennan Inn in Hempstead.

A Christmas Carol – The Musical Version
Lynbrook-based Plaza Theatrical Productions, spreads some holiday joy with its staging of the treasured story, Sunday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m.
This musical adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic is a delight for the eyes and ears. Jack Holly portrays the hardhearted Ebenezer Scrooge, who learns the true spirit of the holiday season, with Jeremy Smith, of Baldwin, in the role of Bob Cratchit. Smith, a special education teacher, is a veteran performer with Plaza Theatrical Productions, having appeared in “La Cage Aux Folles,” “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Hello Dolly,” among other shows.
Some of the many talented kids from our area are also involved in this production. The role of Tiny Tim is shared by 10 year-old Andrew Feldman, of Hewlett, and Johnny DiGiorgio. Feldman, is a familiar face in this role, having played Tiny Tim for three years. His other credits include Plaza’s “Beauty and the Beast” and “How I Became a Pirate.” Other cast members include Rockville Centre’s Melissa Aliotta, 10; Juliet Novello, 10, who lives in Cedarhurst; and 10 year-olds Sharon Oosterwijk and Amanda Sweeney, both from Lynbrook.
Tickets are $10 per person. The performance runs for one hour and is followed by a meet and greet with the cast.
