Crime Watch: East Rockaway, Lynbrook

Arrests
On May 29 at 6:05 a.m., a 47-year-old man of Franklin Square, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation and equipment violation on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.

At 1:50 p.m. on June 3, a 47-year-old of Flushing was arrested and charged with unauthorized practice at 393 Sunrise Hwy., Lynbrook. The defendant, while employed as a massage therapist performed a massage without being licensed by the State of New York.


 A 37-year-old man of Lynbrook was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and menacing on Second Street in Lynbrook on June 3 at 2:37 p.m.

On June 3 at 10:45 p.m., a 21-year-old of West Hempstead was arrested and charged with a City of Long Beach open warrant for “On Beach After Hours” on Ocean Avenue in Lynbrook.

At 2:40 p.m. on June 4, a 44-year-old  woman f Flushing, was arrested and charged with unauthorized practice and prostitution at 246 Merrick Road, Lynbrook. The defendant, while employed as a massage therapist at Kings Foot Spa, performed a massage without being licensed by the State of New York.

At 4:40 p.m., on June 5, a 23-year-old of Valley Stream  was arrested and charged with petit larceny on Bismark Avenue in Lynbrook.

Grand larceny
At 11 a.m. on May 27, a complainant reported that glass jars containing between $1,500 and $1,700 in coins was missing from her home. The jars were taken sometime between May 13 and May 27.

Making graffiti
At 9:20 p.m. on June 4, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) spray-painted graffiti on both sides of their 2003 Workhorse Step Van, which was parked in the private parking area of 630 Merrick Road, Lynbrook. The damage occurred between 8 a.m. on May 30 and 3 a.m. on May 31.

Criminal mischief
On June 5 at 8:50 a.m., a complainant, the manager of Avis Rent a Car located at 55 Sunrise Hwy., Lynbrook reported that an unknown person(s) broke the front window. The value of the window was unknown at the time of report. The damaged occurred between 7 p.m. on June 4 and 7 a.m. on June 5.

Aggravated harassment

At 4:52 p.m. on June 7, a complainant reported that they have been receiving harassing and threatening text messages on their cell phone.
