Lost property
At 9:40 a.m. on Dec. 4, a complainant, the inventory manager at Sunrise Volkswagen located at 931 Sunrise Hwy., Lynbrook reported that a New York State dealer registration plate was lost in the vicinity of the dealership.

Identity theft
On Dec. 4 at 10:15 a.m., a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) made three unauthorized charges on their HSBC debit card. The total amount of the loss is $1,463.


Petit larceny
At 10:50 a.m. on Dec. 7, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) entered their locked 1998 Ford Explorer, which was parked in their driveway located on Chester Road in Lynbrook. The unknown persons removed 10 compact discs from the vehicle, which are valued at $100.
On Dec. 7 at 3:35 p.m., a complainant, the building superintendent of Lynbrook Terrace 504 Merrick Road, Lynbrook, reported that an unknown person(s) removed Christmas decorations from the front foyer. The decorations are valued at $500.

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
At 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 9 a complainant, the manager of Avis Rent a Car located at 55 Sunrise Hwy., Lynbrook reported that their 2013 Chrysler 300, which was rented on Oct. 24, has not been returned.

Larceny from auto
Between 11 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 7 a.m. on Dec. 6, unknown person(s) took items from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Samuel Place home in East Rockaway.
