Arrests

On July 30 at 8:15 p.m., a 58-year-old man of Freeport, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and criminal sale of a controlled substance (heroin) on Peninsula Blvd.

On July 31 at 8:57 p.m. a 33-year-old woman of Jamaica, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny for an incident that occurred at Lynbrook Audi located at 843 Sunrise Hwy.

On July 31 at 8:57 p.m.a 47-year-old man of Jamaica, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny for an incident that occurred at Lynbrook Audi located at 843 Sunrise Hwy.

On Aug.2 at 2:01 a.m., a 43-year-old man of New Orleans, LA was arrested and charged with three counts of DWI and operating wrong way on One Way Street on Atlantic Avenue.

On Aug. 2 at 4:28 p.m. a 26-year-old man of Oceanside, was arrested and charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property on Sunrise Hwy.

Identity theft

At 5:40 p.m. on July 25, the complainant reported that someone opened a PayPal Account in their name and made an unauthorized charge on the account. The total amount of the charge is $348.20.

Assault

At 4:01 a.m. on July 26, the complainant, a taxi driver for Village Car Service located at 416 Sunrise Hwy, reported that while working he was asked by the dispatcher to come inside the building. Upon arrival the complainant was confronted by the dispatcher at which time the dispatcher punched the complainant several times in the face with a clenched fist. The complainant sustained injuries due to the assault. The assault is being investigated by the Lynbrook Police Detective Division.


Grand larceny
At 4 p.m. on July 27, the complainant, a sales associate at Allied Building Supply located at 120 Whitehall Street, reports that a female called in two orders, the first on July 9th and the second on July 10th. The orders were paid for with a credit card and picked up on July 10th and 22nd. The complainant was informed by Citibank that the charges were unauthorized. The total amount of the charges is $13,724.76. The larceny is being investigated by the Nassau County Detective Division.

Grand larceny, possession of a forged instrument
At 12:41 p.m. on July 29, the owner of Ace North Shore Door Inc. located at 207 Vincent Ave, reported that an unknown person took 36 checks from their business and cashed 30 of them. The total amount of the checks is $18,459.90. The larceny is being investigated by the Nassau County Detective Division.

Petit larceny
  At 10:45 p.m. on July 31, a complainant reported that their Hybrid Mountain Bicycle, unknown make, was stolen from the bicycle rack at the Lynbrook train station. The larceny occurred between 10 a.m. and 9:50 p.m. The value of the bicycle is $400. The larceny is being investigated by the Lynbrook Police Detective Division.
