Arrests

On June 6 at 11:50 p.m., a 22-year-old man, of Springfield Gardens, Queens, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operator, following too closely and possession of marijuana on Atlantic Avenue.


A 46-year-old man, of East Meadow, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator on Harriet Place on June 7 at 3:35 p.m.


On June 7 at 8 p.m., a 52-year-old man of New Hyde Park, and a 34-year-old, of Lynbrook, were arrested after an investigation involving Lynbrook Detectives and the Nassau County Police Narcotics Bureau. The 52-year-old was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana.The 34-year-old was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.


On June 8 at 10:28 p.m., a 52-year-old, of Hempstead, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected vehicle, uninsured vehicle and an open Nassau County warrant on Scranton Avenue.
On June 8 at 10:55 p.m., an unnamed minor, of Springfield Gardens, Queens, was arrested and charged with petit larceny and possession of burglar’s tools on Scranton Avenue.

A 29-year-old man, of Woodbridge, NJ, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and driving using a hand held phone on Peninsula Boulevard on June 9 at 12:47 p.m.

A 36-year-old man, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with harassment on Russell Street on June 13 at 12:40 a.m.


Criminal mischief

On June 5 at 10 a.m., the owner of McBreen’s Beverage, located at 79 Sunrise Hwy., reported that the windows on a company vehicle, (a 2000 Mitsubishi van, which was parked in the parking lot of the business) were broken sometime between 11 p.m. on June 4 and 12 a.m. on June 5. The total damage was approximately $300.
