East Rockaway Fire Department assists with water main break in Oceanside

The East Rockaway Fire Department was called in to assist Oceanside firefighters with a large water main break on Pearl Street on Monday. Engines 404 and 406, above, were drafted to help pump the excess floodwaters into the nearby Mill River. Tactical Support Unit 409 responded as well, and utilized its inflatable boat to rescue trapped Oceanside residents from their homes.
