Assemblyman Curran hosts students' essay and poster contest winners

On June 10, Assemblyman Brian Curran (R-Lynbrook), who represents the 14th District, honored Kindergarten through fifth-grade winners and honorable mentions of the annual essay and poster contest “What the American Flag Means to You.”

The event, which commemorated Flag Day was held at Greis Park in Lynbrook.

Students from Malverne, Lynbrook and East Rockaway were honored at the event, and winners each received a New York State citation, as well as an American flag.
