“Helen and Artie’s passing brings an end to life on this earth for a wonderful couple and parents who lived a faith-filled life and were beloved by all,” said their eldest son, Arthur Harding Jr.

“It was a wonderful place for mom and dad to spend their last years,” said Harding’s son, Ken. “Mom was really the queen of the facility! Many of the workers would slip into her room during her soap opera times (“Days of our Lives”) to sit, watch and talk with her. I am so glad for that!”

A celebration of life service was held on February 20 at First United Methodist Church in Arlington, and at a future date in East Rockaway. Check the Herald for more information.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen’s memory to Bethany Congregational Church, 100 Main Street, East Rockaway, NY 11518.

Helen is survived by four sons, Arthur Jr. and wife Cindy of Dallas, Texas and their children Julie and Jennifer and husband Craig Cardwell; Glenn and wife Laura of Arlington, Texas, and children Bradley and Lindsey and her husband Bryan Jones and son Beckett; Thomas and wife Kimberly of Mastic, NY, and his children Thomas and Nicole; Kenneth and wife Kristi of Arlington, Texas, and children Claire and Emily.
